You tube with fancy zoom is a media viewing application that supports webs most popular you tube video. This is a jQuery based fancy zoom.

Feature

Simple to use.
Fancy zoom effect for you tube videos.
We can use this in a widget, page & post.
Random video on widget.

We can use this plug-in in different way.
1. Go to widget menu and drag and drop the “youtube with fancy zoom” widget to your sidebar location. or
2. Copy and past the below mentioned code to your desired template location.

Installation Instruction & Configuration

Unpack the *.zip file and extract the /youtube-with-fancy-zoom/ folder.
Drop the ’superb-slideshow’ folder into your ‘wp-content/plugins’ folder
In word press administration panels, click on plug-in from the menu.
You should see your new ‘youtube with fancy zoom’ plug-in listed under Inactive plug-in tab.
To turn the word presses plug-in on, click activate.
Go to widget link under Appearance tab, Drag & drop ‘youtube with fancy zoom’ widget to your desired location in the active sidebar or use mentioned code in the desired template location.

Form Help

Title : This is title text for your youtube video.

Youtube watch link : This is the youtube video link.

Ex : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc6V4b4VgOk

Youtube code : This is to create youtube thumbnail.

If (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc6V4b4VgOk) this is your youtube video

then “Vc6V4b4VgOk” this is your youtube code.

Simply the query string “v” is your youtube code.

Thumbnail Image link (Your Thumbnail) : Put your own thumbnail image link(optional)

To display your own thumbnail image put your image in this field and set Display Image = Your Thumbnail.

Display Image : You can set what image to display at thumbnail using this field.

Your Thumbnail = This will display the image from your given link.

Youtube Thumbnail = This will display the image from youtube.

Display Status : This is for record display status.

Put this YES always then only the record display at front end.

Sidebar Display : Put this YES always then only the record will display on widget,

The record contain Sidebar Display = YES will display at widget.

Great idea on plugin.. Once I installed I get errors on every wordpress admin page. Here is a sample of one.. How can I fix this?
I’m not sure what Ben is talking about in his post about blank spaces.

Good idea. Good plugin functionality. But the inconvenient fact that the show only one video. Will the future be supported display video from playlist to randomly order?

On my last post I said Fancy Zoom was not working. Well it is working in Firefox but not in Chrome although the demo on the plugin site does work in Chrome. I have cleared the cache and cookies and still no zoom in Chrome.

The YouTube code is showing at the top of my page Do you know how to fix that?

Also – it would be great if the thumbnail included a play button so that visitors know the image is a video, and not a photo.

Thank you for a great plug in.

2 questions.

1. When I put the title (”Video of the Day”) it comes up in all lower case letters. Can I make it so it come sup how I type it, or will it always be in all lower case letters?

2. Is there a way to get all 4 or 5 videos to show up on the page, not just one at a time, (which changes when I reload page)?

That is it. I agree with the play button, it would be nice. (Otherwise does look like a picture)

I have install the widget for youtube fancy on Wordpress. I filled out the form. Inserted youtube video URL. and check yes for both display and sidebar. It adds it to the you tube managed page. But i I wonat to post in a page. How do i do this? I see no option when i go to the page i want to insert it. Is there a html code i need with the fancy zoom? i see no options to pick the video i inserted using the widget. please help!!

it’s a very useful plugin, thank you very much. i have only a little problem. i use also “lightbox2″ plugin in my site, that doesn’t work anymore if i active your plugin. it’s like if they were in conflict each other. do you know how resolve the problem? it’s not possible to use both the plugin? thanks

Entries are not being inserted into my database.

If I add the url & code manually from phpMyAdmin the thumbnails and fancy zoom works.

Otherwise, when I hit ‘insert’ the page refreshes and no entry is made.

Any ideas?

Figured it out. I had turned on

define(’FORCE_SSL_ADMIN’, true);

and for some reason this one and two other plugins stopped being able to insert data into the database. Turned it off and your plugin works.

Not exactly sure how I can still keep SSL and use the plugin; while many other plugins work fine with SSL *shrugs*

i have the same problem as simona, November 21st, 2009 at 6:01 am…i use also jquery.carousel.js and jquery.actions.js and jquery.js and it seems to stop my very simple carousel effect at teh top of the page, cant click and select new div in a features thing.
I have tried everything – moving hosting jquery libraries throughout yoru plgin and my site to googlecode hosting…no luck… any suggestions? kinda urgent…

Great plug in! I have had it running a month or so then I upgraded to Wordpress 2.9 and now the links just go straight to the youtube.com site and not the fancy pop up. Is there a fix for this?

Great work..I really like this JS
I’m trying to use this with youtube videos and I’ve setup each link to auto play but now I hear all the sounds from each file before I even clicked on the image.

And if I turn off auto play, and click on the image to view the video; I hit the play button to play the clip it closes back down.

how do I fix this?
