Providing a Simple, Super, Security and Ajax based contact form on your wordpress site at side bar. Entered contact us details are stored into database, to see that details go to ’simple contact form’ link under SETTING menu.

  1. Simple.
  2. Admin can choose which page this plugin should display.
  3. Widgets, so you can add pretty much anything.
  4. Easy installation.
  5. Ajax, so no page refresh.
  6. No Email.
  7. Captcha to avoid spam.

version 3.0
Captcha/Security code.
To change the Captcha color scheme.
1. Take captcha.php file.
2. Go to line 26,27,28 to change the Captcha color scheme.

Now 2 way to use.
1. Drag and drop the widget to your sidebar.
2. copy and paste the given code to the desired location.

Installation Instruction

  • Unpack the *.zip file and extract the /simple-contact-form/ folder.
  • Drop the ’simple-contact-form’ folder into your ‘wp-content/plugins’ folder.
  • In word press administration panels, click on plug-in from the menu tab.
  • You should see your new ’simple contact form’ plug-in listed under Inactive plug-in tab.
  • To turn the word presses plug-in on, click activate.
  • Go to widget link under Appearance tab, Drag & drop ’simple contact form’ widget to your desired location in the active sidebar.
  • Click on the configure button (small down triangle) for the ’simple contact form’ widget and here you can customize all the widget front end styles.

Thanks for the efforts with the plugin. It’s not showing up on category pages though (I’m using Thesis 1.5) and I can also see from Margrets blog that it’s not showing on hers either, which is using a different theme.

I’m still lost with this issue. You say check is the session state working!(line number 16 both entered value and session value should be same), please check and reply!

Looks ok to an untrained eye like mine. Any help here would be appreciated to get this working.

I think there is some problem in your session state (might be), so you remove the security code and use!

To display captcha “GD Support” is must enabled in your PHP setting. Enable this to work captcha.

my captcha image wasn’t displaying either with php5-gd installed. But I did find a solution. The error was it could not find/open the font file with relative path (didn’t work with URL) so I gave the absolute path to the font file in captcha.php.

That did it.

I am having issues with this plug in. I was having all kinds of problems with the captch that it even effected my photo gallery. Instead of showing my photos, it would show a larger version of the grey “candy cane” image. I deleted the plugin but can’t fix the photo gallery.

What files did this touch? I tried reinstalling WP and that didn’t fix the problem either.

Like Tim (comments #41 and 43), I kept looking for the location to change where email contact details get forwarded. Confusing because this plugin doesn’t behave as most users expect a “contact” plugin to function.

I think you should explain at the beginning of description that this plugin IS NOT a regular “contact me” plugin — and that the details ONLY get saved to the database. I’m sure that is useful but it would be nice to know up front.

Hi there, I did all the steps but the contact form doesn’t show up in my side bar. I even set up Display Option as Yes in all fields.

And I even copied the and to my sidebar.php but stills didnt work.

I am using WordPress 2.8

Check the include path in “captcha.php”, i think the relative path not working in ur server.

I have an error message when I go to the settings of “No data available. Go to front end and post one sample data using contact form.” I have created on a post, page, & sidebar and still receiving this error. I’m using WP 2.9.1 & your plug version 4.0.
